The Power Wheels

I know what you are thinking after seeing this picture, but I was there. Olivia really did ask Niki to chase her with the car.
Olivia learned to roll her tongue. This picture was a little bit late capturing it.

Dinner with the Torres Family

Sorry we don't have very many pictures for this one. I think most of them ended up on the Torres camera. Olivia insisted that she sit next to Tito Ralph and the two of them shared a chair while playing video games and eating pizza.

Sunset Beach

Tito Bric forgot to put on sunscreen before being buried.
This was such a fun trip. We had a volleyball game running pretty much the entire time we were there with the players constantly switching teams or swapping out for breaks. Even Lolo and Grandpa Gleeson joined in to surprise all of us with their mad skills. They kept joking about breaking a hip but would them slam a ball overhand right over the next to pound on one of their children.

And now on to the Crucillo house

After lots of fun with the Gleesons, we headed off to the Crucillo house. Olivia made herself right at home with her Lolos (pronouced O-wah for both Lolo and Lola), Auntie Richelle, Uncle Arik (who Olivia kept accidentally calling Auntie Arik), and Uncle Carl.

One of the biggest reasons we changed our plans from a surprise Father's Day weekend to instead a Father's Day week was that Olivia's great grandfather Dads and great grandmother Mafely were in the United States again. The last time we got to see them was only a few months after Olivia was born. She was really happy to see them both and her and Mafely spent quite a bit of time chasing each other around the house. I love the look on Olivia's face in the group picture just above. Mafely gave her a chip to keep from fussing during the picture.

Walking Mark to School

While we were visiting the Gleeson house, Mark had his last two days of school and Olivia took part in walking with Mark both days. The neighborhood is full of kids all around Mark's age and so every morning a parade of kids and their parents make the 2 block walk to school. The parade starts at Mark's house and by the time he and Grandpa Gleeson reach the end of their street, I think I counted 10 kids.

Olivia taking up the rear of the group. No matter where we are, she always seems to find a stick to carry around.

This is one of my favorite pictures from the entire trip. Here are two of the biggest camera hams in the family.
When we arrived at school, we got to see the tiles decorated by Aunt Brianna and Uncle John from when they graduated from 5th grade to then move on to middle school. John's handwritting hasn't changed at all, seriously.

Gam-ma and Baby ride the horse

Olivia never even cracked a smile the entire ride on the carosel but for the rest of the day we all got to hear, "Gam-ma and Baby ride the horse." I think that means she liked it.

Swimming

Olivia had so much fun swimming and was even adventurous enough to jump in and blow bubbles in the water.

OC Arriving in the OC

Olivia's two grandfathers and two great grandfathers got a wonderful surprise this year from Olivia and her two personal assistants (aka parents). With only a few family members in on our trip, we surprised them with a week long visit. Our first stop was the Gleeson house where we completely surprised Grandpa Gleeson and later had a big BBQ with Great Grandpa Gleeson and all the rest of the family, cousins and all.

As we pulled up to the house, a giant nerf gun war was going on with all the kids in the neighborhood. Niki couldn't help but join in. It very quickly turned into a "everyone against Niki" war. Olivia and Grandpa Gleeson (pronounced "gampa") relaxed on the porch with a popsicle.
