The sheet lives on

And so, the famous blue sheet moves on to the next generation. This was a favorite of Niki's growing up and he remembers using it as a cape of his own. We dug this out of the linen closet and it and Olivia have been inseparable all day. She has been running it up and down the hall, making capes, and wrapping herself up in it and rolling around.

She does crash and fall at the end but not to worry, she got up laughing.

Nap Time

I have a couple old movies from right before I figured out how to upload the onto the blog. So, I'll keep adding them in. I thought this would be a nice flashback for this post. Same old Olivia, but the running is getting faster and the crashes are a bigger. This is from August 2008.

More Tea Party?

The water is pretty much all going into her hand

The cup was full about three seconds of pouring earlier

Olivia has a soaked towel on the table and two more under her chair.

When she's done with a kettle, she says, "more tea party?" to get a refill.

Open Season 2

Movie night with Amo (Ara)
No one was excited to take pictures
Intermission- Olivia learning some volleyball plays from the experts- not quite sure what this one was
Back to the movie with some strawberry frozen yogurt

A bonus feature on the movie was a music video to "Who let the dogs out" and apparently that song makes great break dancing music

and here she is doing the moon walk

Warm Weather

It was a wonderfully warm day today and so we decided to try breakfast out in the backyard. As usual, Olivia ate from everyone's plate so she had quite a well rounded breakfast of eggs, oatmeal with raisins, hashbrowns, yogurt, grape juice, and strawberries. For the amount of food this girl eats, she really should be much bigger. She followed breakfast with a popsicle and a nice swim.

UCD Picnic Day

Animal Science Petting Zoo (the animals were a bit large for Olivia's taste, but the chicks in Avian Sciences were more to her liking)
We had to stop by Evolution and Ecology for godmom
She wasn't interested in the slimy gecko type thing

Visiting the campus fire department was the most exciting part of the day. Olivia kept trying to scoot other kids out of the way so that she could always be the one driving the trucks.

Doing a lady bug craft with the environmental toxicology department

Niki and Olivia spent a lot of time racing from one place to the next

Happy Easter (afternoon)

After a nice long nap, Olivia ate a candy bracelet

and then dyed some eggs in the backyard.

To finish off the day, we did a movie night with Toy Story 2 (it was a big hit).

Happy Easter (morning)

Easter Morning started off with Olivia waking up way too early, so she and mom decided to surprise dad and uncle Arik with some Easter doughnuts.

After such a champion's breakfast, she headed to church for an egg hunt and did an excellent job keeping up with even the older kids.

(this is everyone lining up)

At home, she had some more breakfast and then checked out the Easter basket the bunny left for her last night (and helped everyone else with theirs as well).

Mini ninjas

And finally, some egg hunting in the backyard with a very special set of eggs- Nemo themed of course.

One of Olivia's meanest mean faces yet
